MEGAN BISHOP

I grew up in the Midwest, attended the Minneapolis College of Art + Design,
earned a degree in Illustration, and moved to Seattle in 2009.

I used to do all the things, but now I really focus on my photography and my fashion accessory brand, Apatico. My fashion work has been featured in international publications such as Marie Claire, Elle, Teen Vogue, Bust Magazine, and has been worn by many performers and celebrities - from Coachella to the Met Gala. I’ve shown in fashion shows in Minneapolis, Seattle, NYC, and Vancouver, BC and participated in group art shows in Seattle and Minneapolis.

Photography has always been a passion, especially portraits - making people feel powerful, otherworldly, and beautiful. Maybe sometimes I tell a story, but I’m ok with just taking a cool picture. My aesthetic is colorful yet simple and allows the subject to shine, often exploring my love of dark fashion and themes.

I started with film, with my dad’s Olympus OM-1, moved to digital, and started back up with film again in 2023 with that same OM-1. I’ve got a few more lenses now though! Currently I’m in a very experimental phase. I want to try everything I’ve ever done all over again with film, and inspiration is everywhere.

If you like my work and any of this interests you, please give me a follow and reach out if you want to work together!
